The Riedel philosophy of matching the shape of the glass to the grape variety is exemplified by the Vinum collection of machine-blown glasses. Launched in 1986 as a lower priced alternative to Sommeliers each glass is named either by grape variety or wine producing region. This being the ideal glass for the Bordeaux (Red), Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja, Tempranilo.
