This political leader and Father of the Indian Nation is traditionally depicted walking forward, as a symbol of progress, evolution, movement, dynamic attitude, as well as allusion to the 1930 Salt March. He wears his most iconical attributes: the thin spectacles, indian dhoti trousers where an old pocket clock hangs plainly from a string, sandals and a bamboo cane.
