From the Susan Benjamin Collection a quotation from a sonnet by William Wordsworth written when the poet and his sister Dorothy were living at Dove Cottage, Grasmere, at the turn of the 18th century. The sonnet is from a series entitled 'Personal Talk' first published in 1807. 'Dreams, books, are each a world; and books, we know, are a substantial world.... round these..... our pastime and our happiness will grow'.
