After the Italian Renaissance masterpiece by the Master of the Holden Tondo, painted c. 1500 on a circular wooden panel, or tondo. The jewel-like colours have been skilfully recreated in miniature on this beautiful enamel box. The original painting is in the Courtauld Gallery.
