Royal Ascot is perhaps the most famous horseracing meeting in the world with a history dating back to 1711. In 2005 Royal Ascot was relocated to York Racecourse whilst Ascot underwent a £185 million redevelopment.
To celebrate Royal Ascot at York Mulberry Hall commissioned a special porcelain Candle Snuffer of the extremely talented and popular jockey Frankie Dettori. Totally hand made and hand painted it features Frankie Dettori standing in the paddock with his customary smile. He is depicted standing on a base which has relief sculpture of landmarks of the City of York including York Minster, Terry's Clock Tower, a steam train, the city walls and many of the old buildings.
In a limited edition of 200 it is exclusive to Mulberry Hall.
